Marcos Morcerf
came from Maceió to São Paulo 29 years ago, where he studied
and graduated in Architecture.
He worked with alternative fashion as a fashion designer for 15 years
(Universo em Desfile and FoRA de MoDA), and he has been a DJ since 1997.
He defined himself by working with music, his eternal passion, where Morcerf
applies a great musical culture in his eclectic and sophisticated sets,
which are updated by intense research. He describes himself as a DJ of
House Music, as in this style, he can incorporate the musical knowledge
that he has cultivated during his life in his huge collection of vinyl
records. With influences that include Funk, Soul, R&B, Disco, quality
Pop, Jazz, Reggae & Dub, Brazilian Music and Bossa Nova, Funky and
Psychedelic Black, the tribal rhythms and the vocals, the fundamentals
of House Music, which is a hotter style of electronic music, full of emotions
and passions, Morcerf always searches, in the evolution and experimentation,
for transformations that keep these influences alive, translating all
of these, at once, into one lively, elegant, fun, trippy, energetic, sensual,
original and innovative sound.
His set includes many variations of House Music such as Electro House,
New Wave House , Nu Acid House , Click House & Techouse , with pinches
of Breakbeats, Discopunk and Electronic Rock, that punctuate different
moments, surprising the dance floor in search of a sincere vibe in tune
with good music.
Morcerf is a recognized name in São Paulo associated with the evolution
of House Music, where he has been resident in clubs like A Lôca,
Lov.E, Piranha, U TURN, Sutra, Jazzy, BASE, and Glitter. He has presented
himself in the most significant clubs and parties of the country: D.EDGE,
Noturna and Rave Quinto Elemento (Campo Grande-MS), Dourados - MS, Sirena
and Lao (Maresias-SP), Phoenix- (Jaguariúna-SP), Mogi da Cruzes-SP,
Anzú (Itú-SP), Lust (Campinas-SP), Urbano, Josefine (Belo
Horizonte-MG), The Hall, Upp and Cats (Curitiba-PR), Conceição
Nite (Florianópolis-SC), Electric Circus (Portão-RS), SPIN

events and at stores, he has also participated in all three editions of
the Skol Beats Festival, playing in the last edition on the Live Stage
for more than 15,000 people, when he opened for Groove Armada Live. He
has participated in the following parties: Rebolado, with the English
Pure Science, Transport at Cine Marrocos and J&B Arenas Festival playing
with Lee Burridge-UK.
He organizes
and is resident DJ of his own most important projects, like Jack! - House
of Style, Fucked! and Farra! , where he has invited and played side-by-side
with some of the great names in House Music from Brazil and around the
world. He presented himself alongside important international names like

He has organized projects like The Music, Electric Café, Music
Bar, Space Disco, Breakin´, Hall´s, Deep Sunset and Freak

He made the soundtracks for the inauguration of various stores and events (Ermenegildo Zegna and Vogue at Shopping Iguatemi-SP), soundtracks for fashion shows (Campo Grande-MS and Maceió-AL) and fashion events like the Forum party at Café Photo/Summer99, the party for the fashion photographer Mario Testino, the soundtrack for the 'Noite Ilustrada' award ceremony hosted by the columnist Erika Palomino of the Folha de São Paulo, where he was also nominated consecutively as DJ Revelation (1999) and Best House DJ (2000 and 2001), where he always achieves expressive voting. He made the soundtrack at the Hípica Paulista in the Lounge for guests of DirecTV and for the whole Stadium at the presentation of the band, The B-52´s, played on the stage of Mastercard Music Brasil at Telefonica Openair, in the Jockey Club of São Paulo, and also is regularly invited on the LOV.E TOUR through cities all over Brazil.
Because of
his great experience and active participation in the São Paulo
night culture over a long period, Morcerf plays with pleasure and passion,
breathing his lifestyle onto the dance floors. He searches in the Underground
experiences, for a sophistication to bring a quality sound to an ever-larger
public. Morcerf actively contributes to the growth of the electronic scene
with his music, as a great and promising nucleus of fun, culture,
and companies that want to see their products linked to a public with
an air of quality. Deep down he just wants to have fun and entertain others,
since his work is a great pleasure. Like him, his music is Funky, with
a big fat Groove, strong and at the same time elegant beats. To conquer
a good vibe on the dance floor, Morcerf creates well varied and rich momentum
and moods in his sets, in upward and downward movements, sometimes trippy,
always fun, sensual, lively and pulsing. Currently he is part of the casting

Marcos Morcerf se mudo de Maceió para São Paulo hace 30 años, allí estudió y se formó en Arquitetura. Trabajó con moda alternativa y fue diseñador de moda por 15 años (Universo en Desfile y FoRA de MoDA), es DJ desde 1997.
Optó por trabajar con la música, su eterna pasión, aplicando en sus sets ecléticos y sofisticados, una gran cultura musical actualizada y una intensa busqueda, pudiendo incorporar todos los conocimentos musicales que cultivó en su vida y su gran colección de discos. Con influéncias que abarcan desde Black Music, a Disco, el Rock y el Pop de calidad, hasta el Jazz, el Hip Hop, el Reggae & Dub, la Música Brasilera y el Bossa Nova, el Funky y la psicodelia Black, la música negra norte-americana y los timbres sintéticos eletrónicos. Morcerf busca siempre la evolución y experimentación, las transformaciones que mantienen vivas esas influencias, traduzido en un sonido al mismo tiempo animado, elegante, divertido, viajero, energético, sensual, original e innovador.

Morcerf participó de las 4 primeras ediciones de Skolbeats, tocando en el escenario Live para mas de 15.000 personas, en donde abrio para Groove Armada Live (2002) y Stereo MC´S (2003).
Participó también de las Fiestas Rebolado, con el Live Pa ingles de Pure Science, Transport en el Cine Marrocos y J&B Arenas Festival tocando con Lee Burridge-UK. Organizó y fué DJ residente de importantes projectos própios como Jack! House of Style, Fucked! e Farra!, donde invitó y toco con grandes nombres de la Musica House de Brasil y del Mundo.

En la entrega de premios Melhores da Noite Ilustrada de la columnista Erika Palomino del diario Folha de São Paulo, fué elegido consecutivamente como Dj Revelación (1999) y Mejor Dj de House (2000, 2001 y 2002), siempre obteniendo una votación expresiva. En el 2003 Marcos Morcerf fué elejido en 4 categorías: Mejor DJ de House y Tech House, Mejor Produtor de Música Electrónica. "Resmungo", su produccion en conjunto con Gabo, concursó como Mejor VideoClip Nacional (dirigido por Duda Leite). Y sus Fiestas: Freak Chic e Jack! concursaron en la categoría Mejor Noche Fija.
Por su gran experiencia y participación activa en la cultura de la noche paulista por mucho tiempo, Morcerf toca con placer y pasión, traduciendo para las pistas su estilo de vida. Busca en las experiencias del Underground, la sofisticación para llevar un sonido de calidad para un público cada vez mayor. Morcerf contribuyó activamente con su música en el crecimiento de la escena electrónica.
Morcerf finalizó en Octubre 2002 y Enero 2003, sus primeras experiencias como productor de Música Eletrónica, "Resmungo"e "Barraco", en colaboración con el DJ y productor Gabo. El videoClip de la canción "Resmungo" fué dirigido por Duda Leite, siendo completamente filmado en Miami-USA, y exibido en el programa AMP, de música eletrónica de la MTV Brasil.
